Dr. Hailing Jin is a Professor and the Cy Mouradick Endowed Chair in the Department of Microbiology & Plant Pathology, University of California Riverside.
Main Research Direction and Achievements：
Jin has been internationally recognized as a leader in the field of plant-pathogen interactions and plant protection. Dr. Jin’s lab has made several seminal discoveries in plant molecular biology and microbiology, including the groundbreaking discovery of cross-kingdom RNA interference (RNAi) and RNA communication between plant hosts and fungal pathogens. She is one of the pioneers for spray induced gene silencing, using innovative RNA biology and nanotechnology for crop protection against fungal and bacterial pathogens. She is devoted to develop eco-friendly strategies to control plant diseases.
Dr. Jin’s impactful achievement is reflected by her high quality publications and numerous invitation to present in international conferences and institutions. She has published total of 107 peer-reviewed papers with an H-index of 63 and an i10-index of 103. She is a highly cited researcher by Web of Science in 2019. She has given total of 248 invited talks, 46 of which are keynote and plenary remarks, and Award lectures in international conferences and instituations.
