Main Research Direction and Achievements:
My research focuses on enhancing human disease treatment using plant-derived vesicles (PDVs), which serve as both therapeutic agents and delivery systems. While mammalian extracellular vesicles are extensively studied, they present off-target immune effects when applied in our treatment.
Moreover, challenges arise in producing large quantities and achieving high incorporation efficiency with them, making their effective application difficult. In contrast, PDVs offer a promising solution.
As vesicles containing naturally therapeutic compounds, PDVs provide a safe, immune-inert, and environmentally friendly approach for both therapeutic use and drug delivery. My training has provided me an excellent background of cancer therapy, RNAi, nano delivery system, plant biology and molecular cell biology
