Graduated and obtained his MD and PhD degrees at Tokyo Medical and Dental University 
Pursued training in pediatric neurology at the National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry
Started his research activities on neuroimmunology in National Institute of Neuroscience, and also was involved in the Health Labour Sciences Research on virus-associated acute encephalopathy since 2010
Moved to Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Medical Science in 2012 
Leader of the Child Brain Project since 2015
