in the genetics of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and other autoimmune
immune diseases, using genome-wide association studies (GWAS) followed by
genomic approaches and functional characterizations
•The first in
East Asian to start GWAS on SLE and has reported more than 50 loci associated
with this prototype autoimmune disease
•Currently
focusing on the early-onset cases of SLE and understanding the shared and
specific genetics of different autoimmune diseases
