Engaged in vaccine preventable diseases surveillance and vaccination strategy research. He is currently a member of the Disease Prevention and Control Expert Advisory Committee of the Department of Disease Control and Prevention of the National Health Commission, the Deputy Leader of the National Immunization Technical Working Groups of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Deputy Chairman of the Biological Products Branch and the Standing Committee of the Vaccine and Immunization Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, the Standing Editor of the Chinese Journal of Vaccines and Immunization, and the Editorial Board of the Journal of Practical Preventive Medicine, and China CDC Weekly. He is currently a member of the COVID-19 Vaccine Working Group of the WHO Strategic Advisory Committee on Immunization (SAGE) and a former member of the Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine Working Group of SAGE.
