Yu-Tao Xiang, MD, PhD, Professor

Prof. Xiang obtained his Bachelor and Master degrees in the Capital Medical University, China, obtained his PhD degree in the Chinese University of Hong Kong Faculty of Medicine, and then received post-doctoral training at University of Maryland School of Medicine in the US. 

Prof. Xiang has authored or co-authored over 520 papers in international (SCI/SSCI) journals, including Lancet, Lancet Psychiatry, and JAMA Psychiatry, with the total citations of more than 14,000. He has received over ten international research awards for his work, such as the Outstanding Young Psychiatrist Award in Developing Countries released by the World Psychiatric Association (WPA)

Research interests: psychiatric epidemiology, health service research and evidence-based medicine.
