With an exceptional perinatal nursing career spanning 30 years, Dr. Xie is respected as a clinician, researcher, mentor, and leader. She is a Fellow of American Academy of Nursing (FAAN). She has published almost 70 peer-reviewed papers and 9 nursing textbooks. She obtained 11 grants with almost $ 1 million USD in research funding as PI/Co-PI, as well as 21 awards & honors in China and Canada. 

Dr. Xie received her BSN, MSN and PhD from Xiangya School of Nursing, Central South University, China and Postdoctoral Fellowship from the University of Ottawa, Canada.
