Dr Liew Woei Kang graduated from National University of Singapore, School of Medicine in 1997. He went on to complete his speciality training in Paediatric Medicine, sub-speciality training in Paediatric Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH).

In 2007, Dr Liew received MOH HMDP award to do advanced training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, under tutelage of Professor Mimi Tang and Dr Roger Allen. Upon his return, Dr Liew Woei Kang served as a consultant paediatrician in the allergy service and the pioneer consultant in the immunology service at KKH. He was appointed an adjunct assistant professor in Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2010. Dr Liew has been running a successful private practice for the past decade, but continues to assist KKH as a visiting consultant paediatric immunologist.

Dr Liew remains active in his professional and academic pursuit in the private sector. He is the Past-President of the College of Paediatrics and Child Health Singapore, of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and continues to engage MOH for Paediatric matters. He is Executive Board member of Asia Pacific Society for Primary Immunodeficiency, and Vice-President of Allergy Clinical Immunology Society (Singapore). He is always a strong advocate of patient support groups and is the Past President of the Asthma and Allergy Association, and lead medical advisor to Singapore's primary immunodeficiency support group PIDSG.
