Dr. Liu received his Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Shandong University, China, in 2010. He has completed the Postdoctoral trainings at Shandong University in China, Newcastle University in UK and Emory University in USA.

He is now a Federation Journal Committee Member of International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE), an Associate Editor for several Journals, such as MBEC, JMMB, etc, an International Advisory Board Member for PMEA and JMBE.

He has published more than 200 original Journal/Conference papers. His research topics include machine learning and big data processing for physiological signals, early detection of CADs, sleep and emotion monitoring.
