Pan Weiren (English name: Pan Wei-Ren), born in April 1955, is of Han ethnicity and holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Melbourne. He is also a doctoral supervisor (Australia) and a Distinguished Professor at Xuzhou Medical University. Previously, he served as an Assistant Director and Senior Researcher at the Institute of Plastic Surgery at the University of Melbourne. His primary research focuses on regional blood supply areas (Angiosomes) and the human lymphatic system. He has published over 70 SCI papers and authored or co-authored multiple Chinese and English monographs. Pan has received numerous awards, including the highest award from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons—the James Barrett Brown Award.
