Dr. Feras M. Al-Shomer is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Alshomer got his board’s certification from Saudi Arabia followed by an MSc. from University college London in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. He then got his fellowship training in Asan medical center, Seoul South Korea in head and neck reconstruction under the supervision of Professor JW Choi and a second fellowship in the field of super-microsurgery and lymphedema reconstruction under the supervision of Professor JP Hong. Currently he is the Director of lymphedema reconstruction program in national guards health affairs hospitals in Saudi Arabia as the 1st program of its kind in the country. He is actively participating in several national and international meetings and workshops with numerous research publications predominantly focus on the innovative realms of 3D printing, surgical simulation, advanced techniques in lymphedema and lipedema surgery and the utility of advanced ultrasound techniques in such fields.
