Dr. Maria Del Rio is a Plastic Surgeon at University Hospital "Germans Trias i Pujol", Barcelona, Spain.

She obtained her Ph.D from Autónoma University of Madrid, Spain. Dr. Del Rio's main research interests are lymphedema surgery, use of high frequency ultrasound in microsurgery and supermicrosurgery and Non-Melanoma skin cancer. She is a member of the World Society of Microsurgical Reconstructive Surgery (WSRM) and the Spanish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (SECPRE). She is a reviewer for the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (JPRAS) and has actively participated in many international conferences. She has also completed many Plastic Surgery campaigns in Cameroon (twice a year) and Equatorial Guinea.
