He has been engaged in orthopaedics and microsurgery for more than 30 years, and has created more than 10 original treatments for ischemic necrosis of the femoral head. He has presided over 5 National Science and Technology Support Programme projects in the 11th, 12th and 13th Five-Year Plan, 2 public welfare projects of the Ministry of Health, and 6 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The main scientific research achievements have won one first prize of Science and Technology Progress of Ministry of Education, one first prize of Science and Technology Invention of Liaoning Province, five first prizes and three second prizes of Liaoning Province, two second prizes of Science and Technology Progress of Chinese Medicine, and one Gold Prize of Geneva. He has edited and published 15 academic monographs, published more than 130 SCI papers, more than 300 papers in core journals, and authorised 46 domestic patents and 3 European patents.
