Dr. Obaid ur Rahman, an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Liaquat National Hospital Karachi, received his medical education from Sindh Medical College, DUHS. Following this, he completed his general surgery training at Civil Hospital and pursued specialized training in plastic surgery, including senior registrarship, at Liaquat National Hospital and Medical College.To further enhance his microsurgical skills he visited NYU Langone in New York, USA.Renowned for his expertise in microsurgery, Dr. Obaid specializes in a wide range of procedures, notably free flaps, complex limb reconstructions and replantations.

Lymphedema surgery is a new frontier for him and he is doing all sorts of procedures includings LVA, VLNT and other reductive surgeries, he is the first one from Pakistan to have a dedicated lymphedema Clinic in a private tertiary care hospital which was visited and appreciated by international experts like prof Zhegang Zhou..

His contributions to the field are evident through his numerous publications in both national and international journals.
