Dr Pedro Ciudad is a board certified plastic surgeon from Peru. He has the following postgraduate degree:  PhD in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine and Doctorate in Lymphatic Surgery. Currently, he is working as Chief of the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive and Burn Surgery at the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital in Lima- Peru.

He has vast experience in microsurgical reconstruction of the breast, head and neck, extremity reconstruction, gender affirmation surgery and also super/microsurgery for lymphedema.  Moreover, he has described several new techniques in the surgical treatment of lymphedema and other complex reconstructions.

Dr Ciudad has published over 198 peer-reviewed research articles, he has coedited a textbook book on the surgical treatment of Lymphedema and has contributed chapters for different books in plastic surgery.  He is a reviewer for multiple international plastic surgery journals.  He is part of the board of the Latin-American Association of Microsurgery (ALAM) and  Microsurgery Journal.

Dr Ciudad has been invited to give lectures in national and international conferences.
