professor, academician of RAS, head of the paediatric department in Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, head of the Pediatrics and Child Health Research Institute of Petrovsky National Research Centre of Surgery of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, leading expert of preventive medicine in the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (MoH RF), chairman of NITAG RF, President of the Union of Pediatricians of Russia, Past-President and Council Member of the European Paediatric Association (EPA/UNEPSA), Vice President of the Global Pediatric Pulmonology Alliance (GPPA), head of the working group of ENIGMA-project (Enhancing Neuro Imaging Genetics Through Meta Analysis) in Russia.
Leyla Namazova-Baranova is a famous scientist well-known nationally and internationally. The fundamental researches are devoted to the priority problems of pediatrics, immunoprophylaxis and vaccination, emergencies in pediatrics, allergy and immunology, public health and rehabilitation, medical care quality improvement, adolescent health and child rights. She is a leading organizer and developer of clinical guidelines, scientific-practical programs for pediatricians.
As a clinician and researcher, she is the author of more than 1765 scientific articles (more than 220 in English or French), 37 monographs and 33 inventions. Hirsch index in RSCI is 60, Hirsch index in Scopus 33, Hirsch index in Web of Science 33.She serves as the chief editor of “Pediatric pharmacology” journal and the member of several editorial boards in Russian and foreign medical journals. She was the scientific adviser of 66 PhD students.
Leyla Namazova-Baranova was elected as honorary professor in Foggia University (Italy) and as honorary member of the pediatric department of Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI).
