Conference Introduction

     From 9:30 to 10:00 on April 21, 2025, the opening ceremony of the Ninth Reading Month Activity of Nanning Branch of Guilin University of Technology will be held in the lecture hall (Room 8408) of Qizhi Building. Xiao Caixia, the vice president of the branch, heads of various departments, and teacher and student representatives will participate together. The opening ceremony will kick off with a dance performance and cover links such as speeches by leaders, activity introductions, poetry recitations, program performances, and the launching ceremony. Subsequently, a classic reading forum will be held to warm up the event.

     On the same day, the library will simultaneously carry out 17 themed exhibitions and experience activities, integrating reading, art, technology, and traditional culture. There are not only projects combining technology and art such as the "Art and Design Works Exhibition", the "Artificial Intelligence Themed Book Exhibition", and the "AI Librarian Display", presenting diverse perspectives of design aesthetics and AI technology. There are also interactive activities such as "Renovating Old Books", "You Choose Books, the Library Pays for Them", "Jointly Writing a Giant Scroll", and "Book Drifting", which strengthen the sense of participation and reading sharing of readers. Moreover, there are traditional cultural experience projects such as "Hand-dyed Round Fans", "Painted Opera Facial Masks", "Handmade Bronze Drums/Embroidered Balls", "Handmade Sachets", and "Pitch-pot Experience". Through handicraft production and traditional games, these projects promote the inheritance and innovation of intangible cultural heritage.

     With the core concept of "Empowering the Scholarly Campus with Diverse Forms", the activity aims to create an immersive platform of "Reading + Experience + Social Interaction". Its purpose is to cultivate reading habits, enhance cultural confidence, help teachers and students feel the charm of the fragrance of books in the exploration of knowledge and artistic practice, and promote the construction of campus culture.
