Guidelines for Session Chairs/Moderators
The ASSM 2021 Scientific Committee would like to sincerely thank you for agreeing to chair a session at the 3rd Congress of Asian Society of Sleep Medicine. Please kindly find the session chairs’ guidelines enclosed below for your participation.
◇ Session Information

Presentation Time:
● Keynote Lecture Speakers: 30 minutes
● Symposium Session Speakers: 20 minutes
● Oral Presentation Speakers: 10 minutes
● Q & A Session: 5 minutes for each speaker after each presentation.
In order to keep the sessions running to schedule and allow questions from the audience it is very important to keep the presentations within the allotted time. You are requested to cut short any presentations that over run the allotted time.
◇ General Guidelines for Session Chairs/Moderators
Speaker’s Abstract and CV
Each speaker has been asked to submit a short CV which the secretariat will send to you by email. It will be prepared at the Congress room as well.
Before the Session Starts
● Remind the speakers about the time limits that will be imposed on them.
● Session chairs should arrive at their session room 15 minutes prior to the start of the session. Assistance will be available in all rooms in case you have any technical questions.

- Speaker in Person or Speaker Pre-recorded Video
- Quick and brief summary for the first speaker
- Q&A Session (Delivering questions from audience to speaker)

Speakers with Pre-recorded Video
●Speakers with pre-recorded video will not be doing their presentation live in the meeting room.
●Their videos will be played in the Zoom Meeting Room.
●Some of them will participate in the Q&A session after their presentation only. They will be live streaming online with ZOOM software after their pre-recorded presentations to answer questions delivered by Chairs collecting from audience.
Absent Speakers
If there are any missing speakers in your session, please check first with the staff who will be inside the session room. If the speaker’s absence is confirmed, it is okay allowing slightly more time for the other speakers’ presentations, initiate a discussion between the speakers or allow more questions form the audience.
◇ Guidelines for Session Chairs/Moderators Attending VIRTUALLY
Chairs attending virtually will be live streaming online with ZOOM software. The OFFICIAL ZOOM Meeting IDs will be sent to speakers in due course and Chairs/Moderators are required to enter the ZOOM meeting room 20 minutes before the session starts.
● Headphone is recommended for better sound input and output. Please turn on your camera and microphone when speaking and check chat box for messages.
● Please Attend Early: Please refer to your schedule. (20 minutes before each session starts).
● Mobile Devices and Applications: Mute your mobile devices/ extra devices and close all browsers and irrelevant applications.
● Need Help? - Contact the staff via chat box in ZOOM for assistance.
